A fresh adventure awaits for The Pogues in Season 4 of Outer Banks, which releases on Netflix in two parts in October. When the upcoming season premieres, there will be plenty to look forward to, including a brand-new treasure hunt. Everything you need to know about Netflix’s Outer Banks Season 4 is included here, including the cast and release date.

After discovering the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues experienced their happily-ever-after in Season 3. The Pogues depart from their life of treasure hunting in the first scene of Season 4 in order to launch a bait and tackle store and charter trip business.

But as Stokes hinted to the website, the Pogues’ happiness only lasts “for a second” since they soon find themselves back in the “G game”—this time, searching for the pirate Blackbeard’s treasure trove. Jonas continued, “The season is really about them trying to hold onto what they’ve built back in the Outer Banks.”

Days before the third season of the well-liked young adult series debuted on Netflix, in February 2023, the show was renewed for a fourth. The streamer revealed that the forthcoming season will be divided into two halves, much like its other popular shows Emily in Paris and Bridgerton, both of which had fresh seasons debuting in 2024.

As they talked about the development of their characters with Forbes contributor Jeff Conway, series star Madelyn Cline said she loved Sarah’s “sensitivity and softness.” Stokes, meanwhile, thought back on the “beautiful” five years he spent playing his character, although he also mentioned that it may occasionally feel like a curse.

“Obviously, he has been through a lot and there’s been a lot of tumultuous moments over the last couple of years of this kid’s life, but it’s not definitive of who he is and mistakes are sometimes the best life lessons, and to look at them and to acknowledge them and move forward from it,” Stokes said when asked what advice he would give his character going into Season 4.

Before the show premieres, find out all you need to know about The Outer Banks Season 4.

When Is Outer Banks Season 4 Premiering On Netflix?

The first five episodes of Outer Banks Season 4 will debut on Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at 3:00 a.m. ET / 12:00 a.m. PT. The final five episodes in Part 2 will follow on Nov. 7.

What Will Outer Banks Season 4 Be About?

The official synopsis for Outer Banks’ fourth season, which is expected to be the program’s “biggest season” yet, has been made available by Netflix.

“Season 4 transports us back to the events leading up to Wes Genrette’s suggestion for the Pogues to locate Blackbeard’s treasure, which was shown during the previous season’s eighteen-month flash-forward. The Pogues decide to lead a “normal” life upon their return to the OBX after discovering gold at El Dorado. The summary states, “They’ve created a new safe haven for themselves, officially named ‘Poguelandia 2.0,’ where they reside together and operate a reasonably successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop.”

However, following some financial difficulties, John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo accept Wes’ offer and are dragged back into the “G” game for an entirely new experience. Before they realize it, though, they’re in deep trouble as deadly new foes are closing in on them and chasing them to the riches. Their issues are just becoming worse, and they’re being forced to consider their true selves, if it was all worthwhile, and how much danger they are ready to take.
