Fans of Love Island were taken aback when Konnor Ewudzi made an unexpected decision at the most recent recoupling ceremony.
The bombshell and Matilda Draper entered the villa together on Wednesday, June 19, but today, June 24, Jess disclosed that a recoupling ceremony would occur, giving the two their first opportunity to practice matchmaking.
After their effervescent bond, Matilda astonished everyone by choosing to couple up with Sean, but Konnor’s decision to team up with Grace—who had previously been matched with Joey Essex—certainly raised some eyes.
The decision generated discussion both within the villa and on social media. One fan posted on X/Twitter with the hashtag #loveisland, saying, “Konnor had the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever AND HE DID.”

After Ronnie’s date with Harriett, there was some drama in another part of the program. Later, Jess said that he would have selected her if she hadn’t decided to go out with Sean earlier in the season.
This made Harriett wonder if Ronnie was telling the truth to her and if they would be able to move on from their breakup and move forward in their new relationship….
