The “genuine reason” behind Ciaran Davies’s breakup with his former girlfriend, LOVE Island star, has now come to light.
Following their encounter in the villa earlier this month, Ciaran, 21, and Nicole Samuel, 23, have been blissfully married.
However, The Sun has learned exclusively that he formerly dated Evie-May Bishop, a student from Gloucester.
“Ciaran and Evie were together for less than a year in 2022 – after he briefly dated a 42-year-old,” a source told us.
“They went on a luxurious vacation to Rhodes, met each other’s families, and spent several days together.
Sadly, the distance caused them to part ways. They found it extremely difficult to keep their romance going.
“She’s a student who lives in Gloucester and works with horses at the weekend and he’s a surveyor in the week, with rugby practice most weekends.”
This happens after Nicole’s former boyfriend, a rugby player, came to light.
She once dated Paddy McBride, who resembles her current partner Ciaran.
During the lockdown two years ago, Nicole and Paddy dated.
They were a significant part of each other’s families and their relationship was serious for a while, but it didn’t work out, a source told us.
“Paddy has since moved on and recently had a baby.”
There has been tension in Nicole and Ciaran’s brief romance.
Days into the series, Harriett Blackmore’s breach of the girl code led to a rift between Nicole and her.
Nicole, 24, was paired with Sean Stone at first, but she soon grew close to Ciaran, who was paired with Brighton resident Harriett.
Even though Harriett knew Nicole was crushing on Ciaran, she still decided to go all in with him without warning.
Nicole became enraged and yelled at Jess White, “Is she taking the pi**? ” after realizing they had slept together. Last night, he gave her a kiss.
“She simply grabbed me and told me to be honest with her. Didn’t even f***ing inform me, Jess, that he gave her a kiss in bed the previous night.
“She is free to f*** off. He can, too.”
